Here is the BMW I bought in October 2006. It is a blast to drive. It has an inline 6 (that probably makes 100hp) and it weighs around 4000lbs, but it’s still awesome to drive.
It is lowered on Bilstein/H&R combo. It has a Turner Motorsports chip and an IE exhaust. It does have some rust but I am working on fixing that up at the moment.

August 24, 2011 at 5:53 amHey, I have the same model, exact same color ix. Mine is a 1989 model with Racing dynamic kit. I was just wondering how much lowered is your ix now with H&R and Bilstein? and about the chip did you notice a difference? would I notice a difference in a automatic transmission?

August 24, 2011 at 12:05 pmAlen, I have since sold the car. It was bought with the chip and H&R/Bilstein combo. I never got to drive a “stock” iX, so I don’t know the lowering height difference or the difference the chip made. I wouldn’t expect the chip to add much though. It can certainly work in an automatic, but I would contact Turner Motorsports to verify.
